So we've now started re-thinking about the wedding date. We are still toying with December 2010. We're thinking it would most likely need to be either December 11th or 18th (both saturdays) in order to have time to do a honeymoon, Christmas, and family Christmas stuff. Not sure if we could fit it all in though? If its not in December it is going to still be March 19th. I'm just afraid that if we move it to December we would run out of time to do both family's Christmas stuff as well as the wedding and honeymoon.
Any thoughts from the loyal readers?

  1. i think for all of our sakes you should keep it in beautiful march. but mostly cause march just sounds less complicated than christmas time. =] hope that helps.

Welp, that's a toughie. It's either rain in spring, or snow in winter. March is close enough for a spring themed wedding which is always beautiful. However, my parents got married December 11 (weird, I know) and there wedding was amazing. The girls wore green and white accents. The main reason why my parents had it in winter was because both of their brothers were in the service and they were able to have leave for the wedding + christmas. BUT, you also have to think about the church and if it's booked for the holiday. Also, depends on where/how long the the honeymoon is...Like, no point going to a place where its cold...in the cold (if that makes sense-go when it is warmer). But if you do think it's too much, LOTS of couples postpone the honeymoon until they're settled. It seems less stressful that way.

Doooood, no idea. Up to you. But I can seen pros and cons to having both.

  4. One thing about weddings is that they're all about YOU! I know you have to consider everyone else but honestly ya gotta do what's gonna make you the happiest. You don't want to think about what would have happened if it happened in December. There is something so romantic about Christmastime!

Cullie has a good point about the church being busy around that time as well.

I think when it's all said and done you're family/friends will just be happy that you're in love and getting married :)

One last thing to keep in mined: if you're using real flowers, it'll be cheaper to buy flowers that are in season.

I know I'm not much help.
